However, there are concerns about the energy intensive nature of Bitcoin mining.
“What’s happening in Australia in terms of the energy crisis has nothing to do with cryptocurrencies and everything to do with poor long-term planning,” Mr Carnegie told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
