Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian called for a shift in nuclear policy to strengthen deterrence against enemies, state media reported. During an open session of the parliament, the Tehran representative said the enemies of Iran need to realise that the nation’s security is “our red line.” Several other senior officials have said Iran should reconsider its stance on nuclear weapons, after coming under direct attack from Israel twice this year.
