Fox News host Shannon Bream asks one of Trump's attorneys, Jim Trusty, to react to Trump's recent Truth Social posts about the judge in his Manhattan case. Trump in his post said that the judge "hates me" and has treated the Trump Organization "viciously" in the past. Trusty responded by saying: “The president is a big believer in free speech."
The video of Trump's post and Trusty's response has gone viral, with many people criticizing Trump for his attacks on the judge. Some people have also pointed out that Trump's attacks on the judge could prejudice the case against him.
Later, former Attorney General Bill Barr tells Bream that he would not advise former President Donald Trump to testify in the criminal case against him in Manhattan. Barr said that Trump "completely lacks self-control" and that testifying would be a "disaster."
Bream asked Barr about the possibility of Trump testifying in the case, which is being brought by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
Barr said that he would "strongly advise" Trump not to testify.
"He completely lacks self-control," Barr said. "He would say things that would be very damaging to him."
Barr added that Trump's testimony would be "a disaster" for him. "He would just say things that would be very damaging to him," Barr said. "He would just get himself in trouble."
The Manhattan District Attorney's Office is investigating Trump for possible financial crimes.
The investigation is ongoing.
