Welcome to the Faculty of Asian & Middle Eastern Studies (FAMES) at the University of Cambridge. Combining the study of literature, history and culture with intensive language education in Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Sanskrit and Hindi, we teach and research the worlds of China, Japan, Korea, the Middle East and North Africa, from undergraduate to MPhil and PhD level.
