The House and Senate pass another temporary federal government funding extension – a Continuing Resolution, or CR – preventing a partial shutdown starting Friday night and giving lawmakers more time to write and pass the regular 12 spending bills now that Congressional Republicans and Democrats and President Joe Biden have agreed on a topline spending amount. Two Democratic presidential challengers to President Biden campaign in New Hampshire ahead of next Tuesday primary – Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) and author Marianne Williamson.
