A Russian nuclear-powered submarine has left Cuba ahead of military exercises in the Caribbean. Russia’s K-561 Kazan, a Yasen-class cruise missile submarine, arrived at the port of Havana along with other warships on June 12th. The fleet is made up of the missile submarine, a frigate, an oil tanker, and a rescue tug and had been conducting missile drills in the Atlantic Ocean. Crowds of residents and tourists flocked to see the fleet which stayed at the port for five days, just 90 miles from Florida.
