Treasurer urges Australians to ‘engage with their banks’ if facing financial troubles

Treasurer Jim Chalmers says Australians who are concerned about higher interest rates should “engage with their bank” as soon as possible and as soon as they know they’re in trouble. “So that they can investigate whether there’s some kind of accommodation that can be provided,” Mr Chalmers said during a media conference on Tuesday.
