Sky News host Peta Credlin analyses Labor’s vulnerable state and how it is becoming “desperate” in its attempts to maintain popularity despite a continuous push for renewable energy. “On the issue of power prices, never forget, it was the Prime Minister who promised to cut household power bills by $275 per household per year, but instead, as recently as the first of July, they’ve just skyrocketed again by 25 per cent,” Ms Credlin said. “The Prime Minister blames the war in Ukraine, but most of this is his government’s manic commitment to renewable energy, which needs expensive backup for the roughly 70 per cent of the time when the sun isn’t shining and the wind isn’t blowing.”
