Woman and child escape unharmed after SUV plunges into backyard pool

A woman and child have escaped unharmed after an SUV plunged into a backyard pool south of Brisbane on Friday morning. It was a bizarre scene for residents in the area as the car sat there, almost fully submerged, with the boot still open. It is unclear exactly how or why the car ended up in the pool but a police investigation is underway.
