Ukraine has said that its air defence systems shot down 25 of 33 Shahed drones launched by Russia overnight on Oct. 6. Kyiv said it is temporarily shutting down its border checkpoint with Romania in Orlivka after a Russian strike left munitions scattered in the area. German chancellor Olaf Scholz said Berlin is "working on" providing another Patriot air defence system to Ukraine. Russia will swiftly consider revoking a nuclear test ban treaty from law, a senior politician has said. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that NATO didn’t want “bourgeois” Russia as a member of the alliance.
