Former Labor senator Stephen Conroy says the Yes campaign have “struggled” to explain how the Voice to Parliament will benefit Indigenous people. The Voice referendum will be held on October 14. “We can talk about the core, you know, closing the gap targets,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray. “Targets supported by Tony Abbott, targets supported by Kevin Rudd, targets supported by Scott Morrison. “We’ve not been achieving that, and that this is a better way.”
