'Tragic' for universities to have 'bought into the idea' of being safe: Richard Dawkins

British evolutionary biologist and author Richard Dawkins says universities are places where people should be free to speak their minds and also to listen, even to things they don't like. “University is the one place you should not feel safe – certainly not intellectually safe," he told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan. “Intellectually you should be challenged. "It's very tragic that universities seem to have bought into the idea that if you don't like what you think you're going to hear from someone, you should shut them up and refuse to let them speak."
