OceanGate Expeditions and the U.S. Coast Guard confirmed debris in the Atlantic Ocean was from a tourist submersible that disappeared on a dive to visit the wreck of the Titanic. All five passengers on board are believed to be dead. “There’s a lot of historical examples of explorers who just didn’t quite make it back, yet their achievements, what they bring to science and learning endures for a very long time,” Retired U.S. Navy Capt. Armen Kurdian said. “In order to honor these men, we have to know what the root causes of this failure were so it cannot be repeated again.” Kurdian and Dr. James Miller, an ocean engineering professor, discussed the Titan on "NewsNation Now." #Titan #Titanic #Submersible Watch #NewsNationNow: https://www.newsnationnow.com/joinus "NewsNation Now" is a no fluff, no filler newscast hosted by Nichole Berlie featuring up-to-the-minute news drawing from a network of journalists across the U.S. Weekdays starting at 1p/12C.
