‘Powerless’: Victorian Police ‘can’t do much’ to prevent burglaries

Herald Sun columnist Patrick Carlyon says burglaries in Victoria have now escalated to the point where police advise families to leave their car keys near the front door. “Pretty much implying they can’t do much about it," he told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Police are basically saying they are powerless to actually intervene while these horrible circumstances are playing out. “People are traumatised; I can understand it, people are scared."
