Putin Blasts Western Colonization for 'Robbing the Entire Planet'

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday spoke at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, stating that "the West was largely achieved by robbing the colonies over the centuries." Putin continued by suggesting that "this level of development was largely achieved by robbing the entire planet." In reference to the special military operation in Ukraine, Putin suggested that Russia did not start the "the so-called 'war,'" adding, "on the contrary, we are trying to end it."
