Seal breaks into marine biologist's home in New Zealand

A young seal has been released back into the ocean after breaking into a New Zealand home and terrorising the household cat. Residents at the property in Mount Maunganui discovered the furry critter when Jen Ross returned from the gym. It is believed the seal made a stealth entry through a cat flap and was rummaging through the house for several hours before he was found. The household was equipped with a marine biologist - who was the only person absent at the time of the incident. Phil Ross joked he'd missed his “time to shine”. He says the family often spotted seals on the beach - but not in someone's home.
