A Canadian farmer just had to shell out $82,000 for sending a thumbs-up emoji in response to a text message containing a contract from a man who wanted to buy grain. The buyer sued when he didn't get the grain and the judge ruled in his favor, saying the emoji was a form of agreeing to the terms of that contract.
