Ukrainian Presidential Adviser Mykhailo Podolyak has hinted that the counteroffensive has not yet begun. Podolyak has said that advances made along the front lines are part of a test to figure out Russia's weaknesses. Ukraine began its push to recapture Russian-occupied territory last week. Ukraine has made advances in the direction of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, and in other areas. Vladimir Saldo, the Moscow-installed governor of Kherson, claims Ukraine tried to assassinate him last week. Ukrainian forces launched more than 10 “high precision” missiles at his “supposed location” in the southern region, Saldo claimed. UN nuclear watchdog IAEA’s chief Rafael Grossi said the situation at the Zaporizhzhia plant is serious after the Kakhovka dam destruction. The destruction of the dam raised concerns about the plant's ability to draw water from the dam reservoir to cool its reactors.
