Euclid space telescope launched to search for clues about dark matter

A rocket carrying the European Space Agency's Euclid telescope, named after the Greek mathematician, took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The launch was broadcast live via Nasa. Euclid has been sent into orbit to help scientists study dark matter and dark energy, which are believed to account for 95% of the known universe.
