Choice Consumer Data Advocate Kate Bower discusses the use of facial recognition in major Australian stadiums, saying the technology has some serious “human rights and privacy implications”. “We use our face prints now for example to access our phones, to access our bank accounts, to cross international borders safely so if it were to fall in the wrong hands … you can’t change your face,” Ms Bower told Sky News Australia. “We need to see more rules in place about how this technology is being used.”
