People are getting ‘sick of politics’: Geoff Chambers

The Australian's Chief Political Correspondent Geoff Chambers says people are generally “sick of politics”. This comes as Newspoll shows Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton recorded their lowest approval rating since the election. “We’re expecting the economy to slow down later this year, sticky inflation and those winter energy bills will bite, so as those pressures really bear down, I think later this year, you’ll see some more engagement from voters as we head towards the referendum,” Mr Chambers told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
