Working-class Australians ‘not able’ to put food on their table following rate hike

Independent MP Dai Le says working-class Australian families are “not able” to put food on their table following the rate hike. “Just this week or at the end of last week when I came back from Canberra, I went to help pack groceries to hand out to families and I was expecting people from poverty – really poor families but actually I saw people who are actually normal, working families … the income average was about $600 a week – so they are lining up to get food,” she told Sky News Australia.
