Kamala Harris Says U S Reaching a 'Turning Point' Against Covid #Shorts

With President Joe Biden on the verge of his first big legislative victory, Vice President Kamala extolled the benefits of the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief plan to local government leaders Monday. #shorts Speaking to the annual conference of the National League of Cities, Harris said the bill will provide "immediate relief to American's cities, towns and villages and directly to the American people." "For a year now, we have faced this crisis of almost immeasurable proportions," in the pandemic Harris said, praising local leaders for their efforts supporting their communities. Harris also announced efforts from the Biden administration to increase health literacy. "Our administration will offer $250 million in grants for localities to partner with community organizations with health literacy," she said, with a goal of helping underserved communities get information needed to stay safe. Final passage of the American Rescue Plan is expected Tuesday in the House. If approved, it will head to the White Hosue for the president's signature.
