The People’s Procession has now departed from Edinburgh Castle Esplanade ahead of the King being presented with the Honours of Scotland at St Giles’ Cathedral this afternoon. The Royal Procession will follow after, with the King and Queen leaving from the Palace of Holyroodhouse just after 2pm. Meanwhile, around 200 anti-monarchy protesters have claimed a prime spot outside St Giles’ Cathedral, where the King will be presented with the Honours of Scotland this afternoon.
