Peta Credlin urges Victorian Liberals to give voters a ‘clear choice’

Sky News host Peta Credlin has criticised the Victorian Liberal Party for lacking a policy position that is clearly distinct from Labor’s. A Redbridge poll saw the Coalition’s primary vote drop from 34.48 per cent to 34 per cent. Labor leads the Coalition 56.5 per cent to 43.5 per cent on a two-party preferred basis. Other than occasionally criticising the government for spending too much, Ms Credlin said it's hard to recall the Victorian Liberals standing for anything. “The problem at the heart of it is this: Victorian Liberals need to understand politics is not a beauty contest, but a contest of ideas that gives voters a clear and distinct choice,” she said.
