Bohemian Grove is one of the most secretive campgrounds in the world. Many of America’s most powerful politicians and businessmen regularly meet here to unwind and possibly discuss business. The Bohemian Club is one of the most exclusive clubs in the USA and members include George W. Bush and Clint Eastwood. Nearly every Republican President has been a member of the Bohemian club and it costs $25,000 to be initiated into the secret club. Bohemian Club members must also pay annual dues of $5,000. Joining the club is incredibly difficult and by invitation only. Famous past members include Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, George H.W. Bush, and Mark Twain. Jimmy Carter, who is worth about $10 million, is one of the only Democractic Presidents to be a member of the Bohemian Club. Bohemian Grove is filled with campsites and unique features like a dining area, campfire circle, and outdoor auditorium complete with stage. Bohemian Grove is also the site of a large owl statue made of concrete. Bohemian Club members perform a ritual in front of the statue every year which involves lighting an empty coffin on fire. There have been many famous speeches given at Bohemian Grove and the famous Cremation of Care ceremony has made headlines in the past.
