Attorney David Shapiro from the David Shapiro Law, PLLC is sponsoring a $5000 scholarship in conjunction with the Motovate Safe Driving App. In order to enter the contest, high school, trade school or college students in the Phoenix area must download the Motovate Safe Driving App. Every time a student completes a trip with no distractions (no texting, making calls, or social media use while driving), they will be awarded one chance to win the $5000 scholarship. The more safe trips a student completes the more chances they will have to win. Attorney David Shapiro is passionate about the prevention of distracted driving as he has seen first hand the devastation that has been caused by careless drivers. David Shapiro Law has represented many car accident victims who were injured due the distracted actions of another driver. David Shapiro Law decided to partner with the Motovate app because it offers a real solution for distracted driving and makes the roads safer for everyone. The initial $5000 scholarship was awarded at the end of May to Timotea Garcia-Mendez. Hundreds of students from across the Phoenix metro area downloaded the app and registered to participate. Since April 1, 2019 when the initial contest was announced, more than 20 thousand safe trips were completed by the contest participants. Because of the overwhelming response to the scholarship, Attorney Shapiro is offering another scholarship contest starting immediately. The next contest will be open to high school students and college or trade school students whose home address is located in the greater Phoenix area. In addition, the scholarship will be open to any non-resident students who attend college or trade schools within the Phoenix area. To enter, students need to visit www.shapiroscholarship.com and download the Motovate app. Every time the registrant completes a safe drive, they will get a chance to win another $5000 scholarship. Students who have previously registered will automatically be registered for the next contest. Their safe trips will start to accumulate right away.
