Queensland Labor’s rebadged cashless debit card for people on welfare payments has been a waste of taxpayer dollars due to its change on becoming voluntary, says Radio host Michael McLaren. “The on-the-ground evidence, it depends who you ask, but a lot of the people say it made a lot of difference,” Mr McLaren told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “The moment you make these things voluntary, you might as well get rid of them – you’ve watered the system down.”
