Russian authorities are removing the “Wagner Group” signs and all “Wagner” insignia from the “Wagner Centre” in St Petersburg. The governor of Russia’s Rostov-on-Don claims the Wagner Group “staged” the public support it received while retreating from the regional capital. The Kremlin has reportedly ordered a major PR crisis control effort to counter the fallout from Wagner’s armed rebellion. Golubev’s remarks come as the Kremlin attempts to show that Putin’s rule remains strong and unshaken by Wagner’s revolt.
