The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous - Book Review

A brief review of the Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous. An excellent resource for anyone looking to increase their understanding of Economic Theory, the history of Economics, Keynesian Economics, and government monetary policy. It is a difficult read. I would NOT recommend this as an introduction to Bitcoin since it is unlikely the reader will ever reach the chapters that explain the basic background and mechanics of Bitcoin. If they do, they will probably find the discussion flat and unappealing. It would be far better to recommend the various YouTube video series by Robert Breedlove and Michael Saylor on the same topic. That, or the early video presentations by Andreas Antonopolous. The author presents excellent insights on several topics unrelated to Bitcoin that more than compensate for the majority of the book that consists of dry, academic pedagogy.
