Germany to keep two nuclear power plants on standby

Germany has announced it will leave two nuclear power plants on emergency standby until mid-April in 2023 to prevent a possible energy crisis. The plants were originally scheduled to be phased out as part of the government’s earlier promise to ditch the energy source by the end of 2022.
