India Drops Dollar, Embraces Chinese Yuan to Settle Russian Crude Oil Payments | Report

Indian refiners have reportedly started settling Russian crude oil payments in Yuan. Reuters reported that Indian Oil Corp, the country's biggest buyer of Russian crude oil, became the first state refiner to pay for some Russian purchases in Yuan in June. The report adds that Indian refiners have also settled some non-dollar payments for Russian oil in Dirham. The Indian government is yet to officially respond to the claims.
