Israel President Isaac Herzog says the people in his state have the right to self-defence after being attacked from inside their homes but has promised Israel continues to “care for every civilian in Gaza”. “We have been attacked from schools, from mosques, from shops and peoples’ living rooms,” he told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan. Mr Herzog explained how Israeli troops had found a theme park filled with missile launchers. “If they are ready to launch missiles on our children, then we must go eradicate that site. “How do we behave according to international humanitarian law? We alert the citizens, we tell them in your home there is a missile, get out of your home, go down to the safe zone in southern Gaza. “We sent millions of leaflets, we called and texted messages and Whatsapps by 10 million. “From the bottom of my heart, we care for every civilian in Gaza – I care.”
