We’ve all enjoyed seeing the rise of coverage in women’s sport in recent years, but there is undoubtedly still work to do. Join Olympic hockey legend Sam Quek as she chats to women across the sporting world about the big issues and talking points – from ACL injuries and activism to menstruation and motherhood. This first episode takes a look at success and attempts to get to the bottom of what it takes to become a champion… aside from a lot of hard graft! Sam is joined by three women who know a lot about the pressure and mentality it takes to succeed in sport: Maggie Alphonsi, Rugby World Cup winner with Red Roses in 2014, Helen Davis, a sport psychologist who has worked with Olympic, Paralympic, World, European and Commonwealth champions in a variety of sports, and, ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup kicking off this week, Ellen White, member of that iconic Euros winning Lionesses squad.
