A man identifying himself as the boyfriend of Carlee Russell says she was kidnapped and was "literally fighting for her life for 48 hours" after she went missing. Police say Carlethia “Carlee” Russell disappeared Thursday night after telling family members she was stopping to check on a toddler walking along I-459 just outside of Birmingham. She returned home Saturday night. "She was literally fighting for her life for 48 hours, so until she's physically & mentally stable again, she is not able to give any updates or whereabouts on her kidnapper at this very moment," her boyfriend said.
