For its 10th annual Pride Night, the LA Dodgers wanted to give a nod to a group that has been advocating for the LGBTQ+ community for decades: The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, most commonly known as the drag nuns. They were then joined by Republican politicians like Ron DeSantis and Marco Rubio. The Dodgers responded by rescinding the invitation. A national and then international backlash followed.
