The Sumerians were a people who lived more than 6000 years ago in what is now known as Mesopotamia or the Fertile Crescent. The Bible did not come until long after the Sumerians, but today there is growing evidence that much of Christian mythology was taken from the Sumerians. The Sumerians were far more than religious pioneers. This culture invented the wheel, writing, glass, units of weight, the calendar, and beer. The Sumerians practiced agriculture and were one of the first peoples in Eurasia to build complex cities with irrigation systems. At this point, aren't you surprised that virtually nothing is taught about the Sumerians in schools? And is this a coincidence or could it be an attempt to cover up unpleasant truths?
