Hamas Deputy Leader Saleh al-Arouri Killed in Beirut Drone Strike

Senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri has been killed in an Israeli drone strike in Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh. The blast killed four people and was carried out by an Israeli drone on Tuesday, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency. Al-Arouri was the deputy chief of Hamas’s political bureau and one of the founders of the Qassam Brigades. A member of the political bureau of Hamas, Izzat al Rishq, has said al Arouri was killed in a "cowardly assassination" by Israel. Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has vowed to retaliate against any Israeli targeting of Palestinian officials in Lebanon.
