Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt walk out of Oppenheimer premiere in actors' strike

The cast of Christopher Nolan’s new film Oppenheimer left its London premiere early to “go and write their picket signs” ahead of a strike by Hollywood’s largest actors’ union. Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Sir Kenneth Branagh were among the stars who staged the walk-out ahead of the screening of the historical epic at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square on Thursday. The move came ahead of an announcement later in the evening by Sag-Aftra, an American union representing around 160,000 film and television actors, that its members had voted to strike for the first time in decades.
