President Joe Biden makes history as the first sitting president to join a picket line, traveling to Michigan to be with striking UAW members in front go a General Motors facility, telling the autoworkers, “Let’s keep going; you deserve what you’ve earned, and you deserve a hell of a lot more than what you’re getting paid now." Four days until the current federal government spending authorization expires, and if something does not take its place, the government shuts down.
