The science is clear: in order to limit global warming, burning fossil fuels as we have for two centuries, must become a thing of the past. But how do we do that? And how long should it take? Apparently, it depends on who is asking and who is answering. OPEC is the powerful cartel of oil-producing nations led by Saudi Arabia, and is player with a keen interest in the conference. They've objected to any strong action against their trillion dollar industry. Some reports suggestthe Saudis pushed to drop any mention of fossil fuels altogether.
