A search is underway off the coast of Newfoundland for a small submersible reported missing near the wreck of the Titanic. Newfoundland expert Titanic Explorer, Larry Daley, said on Monday that he's 'very hopeful and positive' about the chances of the crew's survival amid a search underway locating the missing vessel. Five people, including British billionaire Hamish Harding, are on board the craft which began its dive towards the Titanic wreck on Sunday morning. The submersible had a 96-hour oxygen supply in case of emergencies - meaning only around two days of "life support" remain. Mr Daley, said: "Deep submersible diving is very dangerous. But it's high-tech, you know, And each year goes by, the equipment gets better, the technology gets better and so on. So I'm very hopeful and very positive." Adding: "You can stay down under for, you know, quite a few hours. And in our case, you know, I was down there for 12 hours total time in the sub. And the new technology obviously can extend that too."
