Four dead and nine injured in avalanche in the French Alps

At least four people have died and nine others have been injured in an avalanche in the French Alps. Local authorities say the group were back country skiing the mountains when the avalanche struck south-west of Mont Blanc. Two brothers died in an avalanche on the same glacier in 2014. French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims.
