This fascinating program was executive produced by Rear Admiral Thomas Dykers, who also hosted the show. Each episode was based on actual wartime patrols conducted by U.S. Navy submarines during WWII. In this episode from season 2, the Nautilus rescues fourteen nuns from the Solomon Islands.. The inspiration for this episode was from 1943, during the boat's fourth patrol in the Solmon Islands, when Nautilus rescued 26 adults and three children from Teop Harbor on 31 December and 1 January. She also added the cargo ship Yosinogawa Maru to her kills and damaged a tanker, a freighter, and a destroyer on the same mission. This episode was directed by Jean Yarbrough, written by Joseph Stone and Paul King, cinematography Lucien N. Andriot, and starring Thomas M. Dykers as Host / Narrator, Peter Hansen as Cmdr. Brockman, Mary Field as Sister Vincent, Peggy Stewart as Sister Mary, Gail Kobe as Sister Edmund, Brett King as Lt. Ozzy Lynch, Robert Herrman asTimmons, Joe Flynn as Potts - Medic, Don Nagel as Lt.
