The eROSITA X-ray instrument on the Russian–German Spektr-RG space observatory has captured stunning views of the sky. The "x-ray bands have been colour-coded according to their energy (red for 0.3-0.6 keV, green for 0.6-1 keV, blue for 1-2.3 keV," according the the builder of the instrument, the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics.
