Relatively unknown Australian actor joins Cate Blanchett on red carpet

A relatively unknown Australian actor has joined Cate Blanchett on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. 11-year-old Aswan Reid has starred in Ms Blanchett's latest film called 'New Boy' which is premiering at the festival in May. The two-time Oscar winner and famed Australian actor has tipped the young Indigenous boy to become a star in what she calls "the new golden age of Australian cinema”.
