China Warns About Pelosi's Unconfirmed Trip to Taiwan on Diplomatic Tour of Asia | EWTN News Nightly

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is set for a diplomatic trip to Asia. An official in Taiwan welcomes the idea of her visit to the country. Su Tseng-chang, Taiwan's Premier says his country would be pleased if the speaker visits. It would be the 1st time in 25 years a sitting Speaker of the House visited Taiwan. The self-governing island conducted military exercises earlier to train for a potential Chinese invasion. Author of "The Coming Collapse of China and "The Great US-China Tech War," Gordon Chang, joins to talk more about Pelosi's trip to Asia. Even though her potential visit to Taiwan is unconfirmed, both China and now Russia are warning the US not to get involved with Taiwan. Chang shares his thoughts on that. A member of the Chinese state-affiliated media tweeted today, if US fighter jets accompany Speaker Pelosi to Taiwan, China's military can "shoot them down."
