Albanese government urged to invest $20 billion surplus back into Australia

Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce wants the Albanese government’s $20 billion surplus to be invested in Australia’s capital asset base instead of using it to pay off the country’s debt. “Make sure you’ve got the rail, make sure you’ve got the dams and you’ll continue to make money and continue to pay down debt,” he told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
