South Koreans have reason to feel youthful again after a new law which makes everyone younger came into effect. Traditionally, people born in South Korea are deemed to be one-year-old at birth and a year is added on January first each year. The Government last year passed a law to adopt the system used almost everywhere else in the world – where a person turns one, 12-months after they are born.
