Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has apologised for the Robodebt scheme on behalf of the former government which led to suicides with welfare recipients being incorrectly charged thousands, Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says. “The royal commission report contained a devastating finding for former PM Scott Morrison,” Mr Clennell said. “Mr Morrison was accused of giving evidence which was untrue. “Lying to a royal commission can be an offence; Scott Morrison wholeheartedly rejected that and other findings including that he ‘failed to meet his ministerial responsibility to ensure that Cabinet was properly informed about what the proposal actually entailed and to ensure that it was lawful’.” If you or anyone you know is feeling distressed you can call Lifeline on 13-11-14.
